De havenstad Vigo wordt in de oude Nederlandse bronnen consequent Vigos genoemd. Ook dit stukje zal dus op de Slag bij Vigo betrekking hebben. Het enthousiasme in de Republiek over de buitgemaakte zilvervloot moet groot zijn geweest. In werkelijkheid viel de buit wat tegen, omdat ten tijde van de overval de Spanjaarden het meeste zilver al veilig aan land hadden gebracht.

The harbor town of Vigo was consistently spelled Vigos in the old Dutch sources, so this piece too had to do with the Battle of Vigo. The seizing of the silver fleet must have made for great excitement in the Republic. In reality the booty was a bit of a disappointment, because at the time of the seizure the Spaniards had already brought most of the silver safely to land.
