De melodie is volgens het register op p395 van Mensink 1968 die van 'Amor che deggio far'. Volgens de opmerking in het Aanhangsel II in de uitgave Joannes Stalpart van der Wiele: Madrigalia door M.C.A. van der Heijden, 280-281, is 'Amor che ..' te vinden in Musica Divina 1595, f3v (componist anoniem). Tekst: 1e 2 vgl. Petrarca: Che debbio far.
