Melodie gelijk aan die van Datheen Ps1566a 079. Volgens Lenselink 1959, 297 sluit de tekst nauw aan bij de bijbeltekst naar Liesvelt en komt Utenhoves tekst uit 1551. Lenselink vond de melodie van Bourgeoys bij psalm 79 van Marot (1544), maar Utenhove zal hem kennen uit het Frans- Straatburgse gezangboek van 1545 of '48. Uitleg in de marge.
