Dit lied ontleent aan een beroemd liedje uit onder meer Kloris en Roosje, nl. 'Goeden-avond myn zoete Joosje [Troosje / Roosje], / Myn Zuyker-doosje. In onderhavig lied zijn de eerste versregel ('Goeden avond zoete ...') en vers 3-4 duidelijke ontleningen: 'Je bent mijn troosje, / Mijn Suyker-doosje'. De strofevorm van het origineel is echter drie regels langer. Onderhavig lied past op de melodie behorend bij de wijsaanduiding 'Polyphemus'.
