Dit is het winnende lied; de eerste prijs was een schotel van 4 pond. Bovendien zongen de broeders van deze kamer het beste; een bierbeker was hun beloning.
Boven het lied staat expliciet 'Gouda' en 'Balsem-Bloem', maar de spreuk 'In vrede vruchtbaar' is van de Balsembloem uit Haastrecht; de Goudse Balsembloem heeft als spreuk: 'In liefde vruchtbaar'.
